Residential Painting

Every paint job is a chance for a fresh start, whether it’s large or small.

Every home has its unique requirements, and needs a tailored painting solution.

Any job over $10,000 will come with a complimentary professional Colour Consultation

Working with one client recently we uncovered a soccer game in the living room (a very soft ball, but still!), a dog laying on the skirting boards, and healthy chaos everywhere.

Another client’s home had a more serene and grand feel with beautiful art everywhere looking for the ideal backdrop.

We can assist here with advice about paint durability, colour and light, considerations of reflections and textures to create the right feel for your home.

It is very rarely a “cookie-cutter” one size fits all paint job in our experience.

Fun fact: Exterior paint is primarily for protection, and should be maintained and painted every 7 – 10 years,  but it is also (and please consider) aesthetic!  It can be a real joy to  drive home to your beautifully painted home.

But back to maintenance, an exterior with peeling paint can let the elements in, like water and salt, which can cause all sorts of problems for both the exterior and interior.

We recently did an exterior paint of a house in Bellevue Hill.

Problem: We uncovered concrete cancer.  There are a few options here:  Patch and paint over it as best as possible, or work with experts to rectify the situation properly

Solution:  These were discussed with our client and knowing the first option is a band-aid, and will require more costly work in the future, we did the second.

Moral: We have the skills and connections to work with the challenges like wood rot in a timber frame, rusted steel, concrete cancer and mould, to ensure our clients home is properly painted with a beautiful finish for many years.

Extending the life of your beautiful deck and other timber surfaces is easy by maintaining them regularly.  Again, it is important to know & choose the correct product for your specific site and needs, and those products will be different based on proximity to the sea, amount of sun and weather exposure.

We enjoyed working at the Little Bay Chapel to restore the exterior and interior timber – to protect against the harsh coastal elements and return the beauty to this iconic chapel.  (See video)
